News 6th OctKERALA  NEWSThe Circle Office bearers of  the Association held a pre-appointed meeting with the CGMT Kerala Circle on 6-10-2003. The following are the points that came for discussion. (1) Regular promotion for JTOs to SDEs - Preparation of eligibility list and assessment reports were progressing fast according to the CGMT. The eligibility list will finalised with in two or three days and will send to HQrs. The despatch of  CR  Assessment report will also be expedited. (2) Officiating promotion of JTOs to SDEs and request transfer of offtg SDEs - The Admn agreed to issue a fresh list of officiating promotion taking into account the declined vacancies. Similarly request transfers and rearrangement according to the convenient of officers to the extent possible in the orders issued already was also promised to be carried out expeditiously. (3) Proposal for STS post creation - The Association pointed out that there is delay in processing and forwarding of proposal for STS posts. The particular instance of norm based posts on assets added on 31-03-2003 was pointed out. The CGMT promised quick action. The CGMT informed that the process is nearing completion and would be expedited further. He however pointed out that there is heavy delay in the sanction of posts particularly in the proposals based on added assets up to 30-09-2002. He requested the Association to intervene at the CHQ level. Association promised suitable action. (4) Re-officiating of reverted officiating DEs - Association pointed out that the officiating DEs were waiting for more than one week after reversion and requested immediate orders for reposting. The CGMT explained the lack of vacancies but however agreed to the Associations request for the issuance of orders. ( The same has been released today as promised by the CGMT ). (5) Internet/ WLL post creation as per the new norms. - The Association pointed out that even though clear norms were available for various posts in these areas there was lack of action on the part of Kerala Circle  to process and submission of proposals by the SSAs. The Association suggested that the processing at the Circle level itself would be considered. The CGMT assured to examine the case in detail and take suitable remedial action. (6) JAG promotion - The Association requested that the vacancy on retirement and further man month posts may be considered for posting as soon as the vacancies are available. The CGMT was very positive on the issue. (7) Posting of  Engineering officers in IMPCS CSR terminals in SSAs - The Association informed the CGMT that the present arrangement at IMPCS CSR terminals with no Engineering officers to look after the administration and technical responsibility were far from satisfactory. The CGMT also agreed that suitable revamping of the system was required. Association agreed to submit its proposals in this regard shortly. (8) Ernakulam issues (i) Restoration of STD to disconnected service connection of JTOs. The CGMT agreed to review the situation and restore the STD facility after studying necessary details . (ii) Surrender of land lines in lieu of WLL -M connection . The CGMT agreed to follow the Corporate Office orders in this regard. (iii) Provision of service residential connection to JTOs residing in adjacent SDCAs - CGMT promised suitable action and asked the Association to submit the list of JTOs not provided with service residential connections.
